Ring 5 suits someone who wants Oura’s interpretation and integrations enough to keep paying for them. Its smaller design is worth trying if bulk bothers you, but fit still needs the Ring 5 kit. Membership is part of the purchase decision, not an optional extra if you want detailed insights.
Gen 2 offers sleep tracking, a charging case and a longer published battery range without a required plan. It also includes size 14. That makes it a sensible alternative when charging interruptions and three-year cost matter more than using Oura’s app.
