Oura and MD Live plan GLP-1 support for eligible US members in 2027

The announced program pairs Oura wellness tracking with virtual primary care. Access depends on participating employer health plans, not simply owning a ring.

A planned benefit, not a general rollout

Oura announced the partnership on 22 October. It is scheduled to begin in early 2027 for eligible US members of select employer-sponsored plans offering MD Live Virtual Primary Care. MD Live says a participating plan sponsor may fund an Oura Ring and membership; this is not a universal free-ring offer.

Tracking with optional sharing

Members can record medication doses, weight and side effects alongside sleep, activity and recovery trends. Sharing relevant information with an MD Live clinician is optional. Neither announcement identifies the supplied ring generation or a complete list of participating plans.

What this changes for buyers

Check benefit eligibility with your plan before buying a ring for this program. The announcement does not establish clinical benefit or improved sensor accuracy. Oura describes GLP-1 Insights as a wellness tool, not diagnosis or treatment; medication decisions remain with healthcare professionals.
